Placed in human beings are the needs and desires necessary for reproduction. Along with these natural desires, comes personal gratification, as well as, pleasure. All of these are important to the continuance of the life cycle. Without them, humanity would become extinct. Someone once said that they believed God purposely made sex pleasurable so that procreation would come with ease and there would be no problem in keeping the world populated. As you can see, the world does not have that problem, whatsoever.

It is completely normal for women to have desires to be loved physically. Women are physical beings with fleshly needs. For so long, the church has made it taboo for a woman to embrace those physical needs, wants and desires, as if they were types of diseases of some sort. Women have felt the isolation that came with the forbidden, especially the single women.

Why has the church continued to propel this false ideology that God was a woman’s all in all and if they had Jesus, it was enough? Why hasn’t the church come forth in a greater force to make an effort in the liberation of these females? How can a fleshly need such sexual satisfaction be met in something spiritual and sacred? God is a spirit and people are flesh.

No matter how many times they repeat “Devil you are a liar” and “Get thee behind me Satan”, the needs are still there. Women are walking around wondering what’s wrong with them. With all the rebuking and binding, they can’t seem to get rid of those sinful, nasty desires. Why?

Women have suffered long enough; from self hatred and not feeling good enough, some even to the point of annihilation. Stop asking that your internal desires be removed and just accept the fact that you are wonderfully and marvelously made.

10 to 15 years ago, the number of people who owned a cell phone was much less than it is today.

I can remember having a cell phone when many people didn’t.  However, post-9/11 has made having a cell a necessity. I know this is true, being a person born and raised in New York City.

Cell phones should be used while driving only in the case of emergencies.  They should be used with hands-free devices such as earpieces or Bluetooth equipment.  There should never be a time when a driver is holding a cell phone and talking for extended periods of time. 

If calls are received while driving that are not emergencies, the driver should offer to return the calls later or have their cell on vibrate and listen to messages at a later time.

I was shocked at the number of people using cell phones while driving in the state of Maryland.  I have seen people laughing and enjoying calls as if they were sitting on a sofa in their living rooms.

What is going on here?  What could be on people’s minds?  What could convince them that driving is the ideal time to talk on the phone?  Must I be involved in this scene?  Must my family?

I draw the conclusion that people don’t give a hoot about me or my family.  I can’t speak for anyone else; I can only speak for myself.

I don’t want to look in my rear view mirror and see someone grinning and talking on a phone, while driving behind me.  I am on the road to reach my destination safe and sound.

I am not performing on a stage.  I am living real life.  There are no second or third takes in case of mistakes.

The tragedy of this is that others become the victims of these people’s careless mind-set.  Is this fair?  No. It’s not fair for someone to think that they have the right to injure or take the life of another.  The nerve of them!

My question is what are the lawmakers doing or going to do about this increasing, dangerous situation on Maryland’s roads?

What is it going to take to come down on this?

Who else is noticing this situation?  Is there anyone else out there, or is it only me?

 Author Releases Documentary after 4  Years

Columbia, MD-June 23, 2008-

Well-known author, Brenda Farrar-Ejemai reveals, what was at first anonymously written, a documentary that records her experience in New York City over 17 years ago.  Faced with the unexpected trauma of homelessness, her struggle began. 

THE FAMILY IN THE CAR, A Revelation, which the author describes as “on-time”, time-lines the journey of this struggle.  It shows how members of a family who were all their lives sheltered, as well as privileged, now were without.  “The trauma was so unbelievable, I felt that period in my life was a dream and not actually lived,” Ejemai said.    Although it was written in 2004, the author felt led to release it in 2008 and reveal the true characters in the documentary.  It is impacted with trials, but ends with triumph.   This documentary will not only encourage, but will inspire those who are experiencing or have experienced this trauma. 

There are a number of middle class Americans living secretly homeless today.  

Brenda Farrar-Ejemai has taken a leap-of-faith in the writing of this documentary.  With the rise in foreclosures in the United States today, this documentary is not only timely, but relevant.  The face of the homeless is changing rapidly.  No longer can the homeless be viewed only as the poor, criminals or mentally ill.  Homelessness is involving the middle class as well.

THE GOAL

          It’s like reaching for something far away.  If you keep on reaching and running without stopping, you will obtain what you are reaching for.  Persevering, not quitting, but going after it with all your might, as though you have to have it; that’s the driving force.  Don’t look at time

as a barrier.   Look at it this way, the years are going to pass anyway, so why not accomplish what you wish.

          The battle starts in your mind, that’s where it is.  It is a war between your spirit and your mind. (Your mind being your common sense)  Once your mind is working in cooperation with your spirit, the struggle ceases.

          It is almost like going down a long tunnel.  You don’t see anything on your right or on your left.  You only focus on what’s straight ahead. 

You are determined to get to the end of the tunnel because at the end of the tunnel the light appears.  The sun looks like the dawning of a new day, with new opportunities.  Nothing distracts you; you are staying on course. 

          The word procrastination is not a part of your vocabulary.  Most of the time that is the problem, people don’t act.  Whatever needs to be done should be completed and taken care of in a timely manner.   As a matter of fact, it should be done before the required time to make sure there are no slip-ups.

          Some people would say, “I’ll start when the kids grow-up, or when I attain a certain amount of money”.  “I’m too old, or I will wait 2,5,10 years from now”.  Well, those years are going to come and go and then you will think about the things that you could have accomplished but didn’t.  Why not look back and be able to say you have attained your goal and dream.

          Another way is to go at it one day at a time.  Instead of looking at it as a long haul, look at it as taking little leaps. 

You will be surprised at how, in time, you will be closer to your goal.

          You must understand that no one else controls your destiny.  A lot of times people confide in others and ask their opinion on what they should do.  The person or persons they confide in may not have any ambition to succeed, and jealousy steps in.  They discourage and cause them to remain immobile.  Stay away from those types of people.  As soon as discouragement is thrown at you, throw it back.  Don’t allow it to seep into your thinking and bring back the battle in your mind. 

          Success is determined by your actions not anyone else’s.
